This is a fundraiser to help offset the unexpected loss of revenue due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We had to close our facility from March 13th, 2020 to May 30, 2020. When we returned the first week of June 2020, had a limited number of riders return and we have still not reached full capacity due to the ongoing scare of this pandemic.

Even though our facility had been closed or at reduced ridership, our horses still required 100% costs to be fed, veterinary and farrier bills that piled up and disinfection & personal safety supply costs due to this virus has negatively impacted Parkwood Farms.

Parkwood Farms Therapy Center is a non-profit organization run by completely volunteers. The organization exists solely for the purpose of providing Equine assisted activities & therapeutic riding to children with disabilities.  The fact that we do not have any full-time employees, everyone here is a volunteer, we did not qualify for the PPP grants.

Equine Assisted Activities and Therapeutic riding are the only programs and source of income, Parkwood relies on riding fees (which are kept low to help struggling families) and donations to maintain the horses and facility.

Making financial ends meet can often be difficult for the facility under typical circumstances. However, the facility has never faced such crippling and costly effects caused from this Pandemic.

You can help by donating any amount now. The need is immediate in order to care for the horse, save our programs, and to continue providing much needed services for the kids we serve and their families. In many cases riding at Parkwood Farms is the only “normal” thing they have returned so because they feel safe here.

Any amount raised above the monthly operating needs, feed, and vet bills will go for feed and other essentials.

Thank you so much for any amount you can give towards this important cause!

I've known about Parkwood Farms for several years now. Dr. Peterson has become a good friend. The love she pours into Parkwood and her horses and the magic that happens for these kids when they get around these sweet horses is something to behold... Love and Magic there's no other way to describe it!
