High Impact Donors
What are High Impact Donors?

Sure, dollars matter. Yet at the end of the day, it`s your impact that counts. Want to make an impact ? We're here to help.

That`s why we provide free tools like direct email and Peer2Peer pages as well as Paid Project Pages and Corporate Sponsorship to help donors spread the word about their favorite projects and charities.

1. Donate what ever amount you want to your favorite projects.

2. Spread the word. Use your free or sponsored impact tools to share the project link or personalize it to share with friends, family and business contacts.

The first dots are your contacts who donate, the second dots are their contacts and so on... for the life of the project!

3. Watch your impact spread across the map dot by dot...

All life is precious. All life is fragile. The magic of life happens when we come together, no matter how precious and fragile, and create stronger, enabled and confident. That's why we are here. That's what we do.

Project Description

This fundraiser is working towards the goal of raising $13000 to offset the ongoing feed, veterinary & farrier bills, and maintenance of facility, as well as disinfection supplies and safety equipment following this quarantine and slow recovery time since March 2020.

Project Needs

This is a fundraiser to help offset the unexpected loss of revenue due to the COVID-19 pandemic starting in March of 2020.

We had to close our facility from March 13th, 2020 to May 30, 2020. When we returned the first week of June 2020, had a limited number of riders return and we have still not reached full capacity due to the ongoing scare of this pandemic. Many of our riders and older are considered high risk or are medically fragile. Social distancing made it impossible to get back into full swing with 100% of the riders returning.

Even though our facility had been closed or at reduced ridership, our horses still required 100% of the costs to be fed, veterinary and farrier bills that piled up and disinfection & personal safety supply costs due to this virus has negatively impacted Parkwood Farms.

Parkwood Farms Therapy Center is a non-profit organization run completely by volunteers. The organization exists solely for the purpose of providing Equine assisted activities & therapeutic riding to children with disabilities.  The fact that we do not have any full-time employees, everyone here is a volunteer, we did not qualify for the PPP grants. Your donation will not go any payroll.

Equine Assisted Activities and Therapeutic riding are our only programs and source of income. Parkwood relies on riding/stable fees (which are kept low to help struggling families) and donations to maintain the horses and facility.

Making financial ends meet can often be difficult for the facility under typical circumstances. However, the facility has never faced such crippling and costly effects caused from this Pandemic.

You can help by donating any amount now. The need is immediate in order to care for the horse, save our programs, and to continue providing much needed services for the kids we serve and their families. In many cases riding at Parkwood Farms is the only “normal” thing they have returned so because they feel safe here.

Any amount raised above the monthly operating expenses, feed, and vet bills will go for feed and other essentials.

Thank you so much for any amount you are able to give towards this important cause!

Project Schedule

This project will be completed as soon as we meet or exceed our goal of $26000 for ongoing monthly feed, veterinary & farrier bills and disinfection supplies.

Project Beneficiaries

Parkwood Farms Therapy Center is a non-profit organization run by volunteers. The organization exists solely for the purpose of providing therapeutic riding to children with disabilities.

The beneficiaries of this fundraiser will be the children with disabilities who engage in therapeutic riding every week.

Therapeutic riding has been shown to improve on a wide range of issues that children with disabilities face ranging from poor muscle tone and coordination to language and self-confidence.
