Every Hero Needs A Mask
Providing life-saving resources to Florida's Emergency Medicine Community
Florida's emergency medicine providers are going to work every day without the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to protect them. This means they may not have access to enough masks, gloves, gowns, face shields, or other items that keep them safe and ensure they will be able to continue to risk their lives another day. Failure is not an option - We need your help to get our loved ones the protection they need to do their jobs and make it home safe!

High Impact Donors
Sure, dollars matter. Yet at the end of the day, it`s your impact that counts. Want to make an impact ? We're here to help.
That`s why we provide free tools like direct email and Peer2Peer pages as well as Paid Project Pages and Corporate Sponsorship to help donors spread the word about their favorite projects and charities.
1. Donate what ever amount you want to your favorite projects.
2. Spread the word. Use your free or sponsored impact tools to share the project link or personalize it to share with friends, family and business contacts.
The first dots are your contacts who donate, the second dots are their contacts and so on... for the life of the project!
3. Watch your impact spread across the map dot by dot...

About This Project:

Melissa Keahey
For the last 6 years, I have had the honor of working for an organization that provides life-saving education, resources, advocacy, and support to front line healthcare providers. It's important that we find ways to give back what they sacrifice for us.
Project Description
We are not on the front lines and we can’t fight that battle – but we can help them hold the line. There are businesses and community partners with an existing supply of PPE resources that they may not need right now and just don’t know how important these items are to the fight against this virus.
You can help purchase certified PPE items and route these resources to EMTs, paramedics, firefighters, nurses, emergency physicians and others in your area by joining our PPE network and donating to the Every Hero Needs A Mask project.
Every donation helps. Donating $1.00 or more to receive regular updates on our milestones, donors, and donations! Your private donor dashboard tools will help you share your message and allow us to track your impact on our project.
Please, spread the word in your community and help us make a difference for Florida's emergency medicine providers.
Project Needs
Will you join us as a community partner? Specifically, here’s what that means for your organization:
Targeted outreach to key members and partners in your database. Success depends on your outreach by phone calls and emails to introduce the project and request donations through additional awareness and community influence.Participate in the PPE drive. Spread the word, not the virus.
Consider donating to our PPE fund that will be used to purchase certified PPE from a supplier local to Florida.
Here's a sample listing of certified PPE items*:
3ply Disposable Mask - $0.95 each, $47.50/box, $1,900/case
3ply Disposable Medical Mask - $1.29 each, $64.50/box, $2,580/case
KN95 Respirator Mask - $3.75 each
Isolation Gown - $3.99 each, $598.50/box
Medical Face Shield - $9.00
Goggles - $14.00
Sterile Nitrile Gloves - $900/case
*The above pricing reflects current market value and is subject to change daily. Pricing is not inclusive of shipping costs which are approximately $0.10 per piece of PPE.
We need you to get involved by reaching out to EVERYONE you know to raise awareness for this effort.
Remember, the most effective way to protect yourself and our front line providers is to stay home, shelter in place, and practice social-distancing when you must leave for essential needs (groceries, medical care, etc.). If you have been exposed to, diagnosed with, or have symptoms of COVID-19, please follow self-quarantine instructions, avoiding all public places, and contact your doctor before going to the emergency department.

If a project has filled its need for a “Line item”, your funds may be applied to additional project needs. Please consult your tax advisor to determine your proper deduction.
Project Schedule
Due to the current pandemic, there is a critical need for PPE for front line healthcare workers.
How You Can Help:
Go to our project website to learn more about the Statewide PPE Network and look at our complete list of items we need: www.fcep.org/PPE
Rally your personal network for a good cause and encourage your business partners, friends, family, and colleagues to check their ware houses and supply closets for the items on our list.
If you have any of these items hand or are interested in helping us purchase PPE through a local supplier, you can learn more on the PPE Network project website.
We won't stop until we have achieved our goal to keep Florida's First Responders Safe.
Project Beneficiaries
We are all in this together. We are fighting TIME and COVID-19. Every mask we provide, every life we save is a win.
